Two songs i really like a lot
The first is produced by nashville's the parting gifts, those(Even one off? )Effort between reigning sound's greg cartwright and the ettes' coco hames.His new album strychnine dandelion, just out on at a negative balance records, is a15 song blast of big garage pop, including a jagger/richards cover("Walking along with sleepy city")With great measure.The use of the parting gifts raises the two important questions:1)The quantity bands can greg cartwright be in, in any case?And therefore 2)How more splendid can coco hames be?There's a huge amount of great Cheap True Religion Jeans songs on strychnine dandelion, but album operator"Preserve walkin'"Succinctly covers the album's appeal:Junky, punky garage riffing that gets straight relevant.

One more song couldn't be more different:Bay area band birds and batteries have release panorama, a weird True Religion Outlet and far reaching album that, upon my first snoop, sounded at times wispily fresh and other times ploddingly adult contempo.But then there's this unique song,"Extraordinary kind of mirror, which almost does not work at all in fact, it totally achieves.That chipping drumbeat seems at odds meanwhile belonging to the languid melody, and that vocal is located somewhere irritatingly between rick danko and trey anastasio.But strong god, you wrote a song, and what a sneaky way it troubles itself around your heart.Supposedly the song was written while frontman mike sempert watched a friend's wedding and noticed how similar the lovely couple were.An odd belief, to be certain, but a weirdly impacting one.I'll be listening back over the remainder of panorama with a careful ear, to find moments as nice as this one.I hope for i'll find some.
